Quality Control Analysis to Detect Defects in Drywall Fastener Screws

Los tornillos son piezas diseñadas para unir dos o más elementos, compuestos por tres partes principales: cabeza, cuello y rosca. Dependiendo del tipo de material del que estén hechos, su tamaño y funcionalidad pueden adquirir diferentes características. En este artículo se describe la forma en que se evaluó una muestra de 200 tornillos de 2 pulgadas utilizados para drywall con el fin de detectar posibles defectos en su proceso de fabricación, mediante la aplicación de herramientas de calidad, con lo cual se analizan los principales factores que intervienen para lograr la mejor calidad. de estos productos fueron determinados. Además, el estudio de un caso real nos permitió demostrar mejoras factibles que se pueden aplicar no solo en un área determinada, sino en toda la industria, ya que la calidad de un producto también determina el crecimiento potencial de una empresa. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron el grado de afectación de cada defecto, siendo recomendable que la empresa se enfoque en tornillos torcidos, tornillos con puntas deformadas y tornillos con medidas incorrectas, ya que estos representan mayores pérdidas. En conclusión, en la industria es necesario el uso y manejo de herramientas para incrementar la productividad y calidad de los procesos, logrando así un impacto significativo en todas las áreas de producción.Screws are pieces designed to join two or more elements, they are composed of three parts that are thread, neck, and head. This article describes the way in which a sample of 200 2-inch screws used for drywall were evaluated to detect potential failures in their manufacturing, through the application of quality tools, with which the main factors that intervene to achieve the best quality of these products were determined. In addition, the study of a real case allowed us to demonstrate feasible improvements that can be applied not only in a certain area, but in the whole industry, since the quality of a product also determines the potential growth of a company. The results obtained showed the degree of affectation of each defect, being advisable for the company to focus on bent screws, screws with deformed tips and screws with incorrect measurements, as these represent greater losses. In conclusion, in the industry it is necessary to use and manage tools to increase the productivity and quality of the processes, thus having a significant impact on all areas of production, achieving the best possible final product

Gestión de Cadena de Suministros y Logística del Yogur

The objective of this case study was to identify and analyze the supply chain of yogurt, a dairy product that has great health benefits due to its nutritional components, thus relating the main logistical processes involved, likewise implying the recognition of the variables in a supply network together with their relationship with respect to quality, cost, time, flexibility for the optimization of decisions in transportation and distribution systems, based on the design of location models and routing of vehicles with capacity. The methodology used was investigative and analytical, therefore, the search for relevant information was carried out to determine the links and logistic processes that make the implementation of the product supply chain possible, then starting from the calculation of the dimensions, weight of the product, packaging box and laying, the euro pallet was selected, in addition, a group of warehouses and clients in Barranquilla was considered together with travel times, later with the characteristics of unit load and vehicle capacity, demand and costs, a location model with capacity. To then formulate a CVRP model, thus obtaining a route that visits all customers, supplies the demand and minimizes the distance. Thus concluding with the definition of the factors involved in the process of manufacturing, storage and distribution of the product and also being the warehouse three the most feasible, resulting in a value chain with an efficient and fast flow.El presente caso de estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar y analizar la cadena de abastecimiento del yogur, producto lácteo que cuenta con grandes beneficios para la salud debido a sus componentes nutricionales, relacionando así los principales procesos logísticos que intervienen, de igual forma implico el reconocimiento de las variables en una red de abastecimiento junto con su relación respecto a calidad, costo, tiempo, flexibilidad para la optimización de decisiones en sistemas de transporte y distribución, a partir del diseño de modelos de localización y ruteo de vehículos con capacidad. La metodología utilizada fue investigativa y analítica, por tanto, se realizó la búsqueda de información relevante para determinar los eslabones y procesos logísticos que hacen que sea posible la implementación de la cadena de abastecimiento del producto, seguidamente partiendo del cálculo de las dimensiones, peso del producto, caja de embalaje y tendido se seleccionó el euro pallet, además se consideró un conjunto de bodegas y clientes en Barranquilla en conjunto con tiempos de viaje, posteriormente con las características de unidad de carga y capacidad de vehículos, demanda y costos se diseñó un modelo de localización con capacidad. Para luego formular un modelo CVRP, obteniendo así una ruta que visita todos los clientes, suple la demanda y minimiza la distancia. Concluyendo así con la definición de los factores inmersos dentro del proceso de fabricación, almacenamiento y distribución del producto e igualmente siendo la bodega tres la más factible, resultando en una cadena de valor con un flujo eficiente y rápid

The work study is a systematic method to increase productivity in a company that seeks to examine and investigate all the factors that influence the efficiency of performance, in the development of this it is recurrent to mention various topics such as working conditions, analysis of operations, process diagrams, among others. The objective of the following project is to analyze production processes applying work study tools in order to find bottlenecks and propose improvements to increase the productivity of the company. For this reason, a visit was made to a company to analyze its productivity and the bottlenecks present in the company's process. This is how a study of methods and times was implemented, allowing a better critical analysis of the process, thanks to which it was possible to establish a better distribution of the process and future proposals for the improvement and growth of the company's productivity.  El estudio del trabajo es un método sistemático para el incremento de la productividad en una empresa que busca examinar e investigar todos los factores que influyen en la eficiencia del desempeño, en el desarrollo de esta es recurrente mencionar diversos temas como las condiciones de trabajo, análisis de operaciones, diagramas de procesos, entre otros. El objetivo del siguiente proyecto es analizar procesos productivos aplicando las herramientas del estudio del trabajo con la finalidad de encontrar cuellos de botellas y proponer mejoras para incrementar la productividad de la empresa. Por esto se realizó una visita a una empresa para analizar su productividad y los cuellos de botella presentes en el proceso de la empresa. Es así como se implementó un estudio de métodos y de tiempos permitiendo un mejor análisis crítico del proceso, gracias a eso se pudo establecer una mejor distribución del proceso y unas propuestas a futuro para el mejoramiento y crecimiento de la productividad de la empresa
